Information On Industrial Connectors

A connector is a vessel that connects two or more containers below the surface of a liquid. In a communicating vessel containing the same liquid with equal pressure above the surface, the liquid levels are equal.

In a connecting vessel containing the same liquid but with unequal pressure above the surface, the pressure difference is equal to the pressure difference between the liquid levels in the two containers.

In a connecting vessel where the pressure above the surface is equal, but different, immiscible liquids are present on either side, the height of the two liquid levels from the interface is inversely proportional to the density of the liquids. The principle of connectors has wide applications in engineering. For example, various level gauges (water level gauges, oil level gauges, etc.), mercury vacuum gauges, liquid column pressure gauges, and differential pressure gauges are all made using the principle of communicating vessels. Understanding the definition and working principle of connectors helps us better understand and expand the connector market.
